Thai Yoga Massage (TYM) is an ancient healing art that combines the alignment of the breath, yoga asana, and mindfulness meditation of Metta (loving compassion) into a flowing dance of continuous rhythmic motion to deliver a soothing and revitalizing experience. TYM is based on an understanding of the energy lines and acupressure points present in each person. By working along these lines and points, the modality balances the energetic body of the recipient and frees & removes any blockages that may present in physical, mental, or emotional dis-ease.
Details of the Training
This 4 hour workshop is specifically for Licensed Massage Therapists and Professional Bodyworkers who have an existing table practice. We will learn about the foundational elements of Thai Massage and how to incorporate them into your table work. Mindfulness, breath work, proper body mechanics, draping, and stretching & compression techniques will be highlighted. There will be lecture time, demos, practicum time, and space for your questions.
Whether you are ready to enhance the enjoyment of your practice, wow your clients with new tricks, refresh your body mechanics for longevity, gain CE's, or simple hang with other stellar colleagues, this training is for you!
